Applications Closing Soon for Arts NSW 2011 Arts Funding Program - MusicNSW

Got a tour, an album, an idea you want to realise in 2011?

Applications are closing soon for the 2011 Arts Funding Program for projects and programs to be undertaken in 2011.

The 2011 Arts Funding Program includes funding for annual programs of artistic and cultural activities and for one-off projects including performing arts touring, capital, strategic industry development and the creation and/or presentation of new work.

This year, the Arts Funding Program also includes a Quick Response project category which will be offered four times a year to assist individuals and organisations who need to apply outside the Arts Funding Program.  There will be a six week turnaround for advice on applications to the Quick Response Category and closing dates are 2 August 2010, 1 November 2010, 7 February 2011 and 2 May 2011.

Guidelines and application forms are now available to download at www.arts.nsw.gov.au

Please note there are various closing dates for the 2011 Arts Funding Program. When applying for funding through Arts NSW’s funding program they require you to have an auspicing organisation  in your application. If you are unfamiliar with the term – Auspicing is when you are required to get an incorporated not-for-profit organisation (such as MusicNSW) to apply for a grant on your behalf and administer the funds if your application is successful. This is because most funding bodies can only enter into Funding Agreements with legally constituted, not-for-profit-incorporated organisations like us, and not individuals or unincorporated groups.

If you and/or your band have identified the grant you wish to pursue and would like MusicNSW to auspice your application, please download our  Auspice Request Form. Please note we have extended our deadline for Auspice Requests and will be accepting forms until 5pm Friday 25 June 2010.
