Attention all songwriters, there is only 8 days left to enter the 2013 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition! All are welcomed to apply, songs from all genres, published or not, international or local will be accepted.
There is a total of $65,000 for prizes that will be split between the top three songwriters. Third place will receive $5000 donated from Ubisoft, second place will receive $10,000 donated from the Australian Music Publishers Association. The grand prize winner will receive $50,000 courtesy of the founding partners APRA and Alberts.
Ashley Irwin, APRA Ambassador and film and TV composer, will be joining the judging panel of over 20 for this year’s competition.
There is a $50 entry fee and you may enter as many songs as you want. All of the proceeds go directly back to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, an organization that uses music to help people with developmental disorders and disabilities.
When an opportunity like this comes along and all the proceeds go to such a worthy cause there is really no reason not to apply!
