WRITING GRANT APPLICATIONS

Information on grant writing has been supplied by Regional Arts NSW. It has been written to help with Regional Arts NSW applications, but the information is most valuable and can be used when writing any application. If you are applying for a grant this document is a must to read, even if you have applied before.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER

  • Contact the funding body and discuss your idea with them.
  • When applying for a grant read the guidelines thoroughly and develop your project on those guidelines, remember each funding body has its own agenda.
  • When writing the application, remember you need to sell your project. You should highlight why your project needs funding and explain why it is important that the project takes place.
