In an attempt to become more accessible and welcoming to young people, the iconic Sydney Opera House has begun a fantastic new initiative of starting up their own Youth Advisory Committee.
The committee is made up of 12 young and enthusiastic people between the ages of 13-18 and are in charge of making more young people engage with the Opera House and it’s activities.
As part of Youth Week 2012 which recently came to a close, their first task as a new team was to organise the under 18s dance party which was a total success! You can read our review of the night here.
The committee are already doing a fantastic job in making the Opera House appeal to a youth market, so we look forward to see what youth driven programs they initiate into the Opera House next year!
