A strong Electronic Press Kit is the best way to present yourself and your music to all levels of the industry including venues, agents, labels and media. But what is it?

In this special SOUND ADVICE Masterclass, Nashville via Batemans Bay-based music branding expert Mel Core-Caballo will lay out everything that goes into making a kick-arse EPK, and help you put yours together there on the spot.

Prior to the masterclass, photographer Lee Grant will be on hand to take some A+ press shots if you don’t already have them. Then you’ll edit and add them to your EPK as Mel takes you through the dos and don’ts of building an EPK that best represents you as an artist.

By the end of the session, the goal is for you to walk away ready to take on the industry with a complete EPK!

During the photography session, Host and Regional Music Officer for the South-East Sats Kramer will be around to answer questions about the industry and provide business and career advice.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Participants should come dressed ready for a photo shoot.
  • Sats will have two laptops at the venue to use if needed, but participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own laptops if possible.

This event is taking place on stolen Yuin land. MusicNSW acknowledges the traditional owners of this land and the colonial violence that displaced them. We pay our respects to Yuin elders past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
