By the closing date for showcase submissions (October 27) over 8000 bands from around the world (and close to 500 from Australia & New Zealand) will have submitted themselves for only 1200 showcases in 50 venues over five nights. A 20 minute video presentation by Austrade from 2006’s SxSW is now online in six easily downloadable video podcasts at and an audio podcast of the Melbourne roadshow meeting will be available shortly.
