MusicNSW Regional Touring Grants – Round Two - MusicNSW

Following a successful round one, that funded 7 tours throughout the state, MusicNSW is again in a position to offer assistance to touring NSW bands and artists.

MusicNSW, with the assistance of Arts NSW, announces Round Two of the Regional Touring Grant Program. Grants of up to $5000 are available to professional NSW Bands and Musicians to help fund the regional NSW component of their tours.

A MusicNSW Regional Touring Grant cant help fund the costs of hitting roos, losing band members or getting lost on some back-road “short-cut”. What it can do is help cover normal touring costs, like accommodation, airfares, promotional, vehicle and equipment hire, so you have more room to move when you come up against the things you cant plan for.

Application forms and guidelines will be available from MusicNSW as of January 2007.

Applications close March 31, 2007 and are open to all contemporary musicians and bands who are permanent residents of NSW. Tours can happen any time between May 2007 – Feb 2008.

The MusicNSW Regional Touring Grants aim to relieve the financial burden to NSW musicians of touring to the more remote areas of this state and in conjunction with VROOM, MusicNSW hopes that the tours will spark the development of touring circuits throughout NSW, increase audience access to original music in regional areas and reinvigorate the live music scene across the state.
VROOM – The Venue Resource Of Original Music, is an online venue database that can help musicians plan their NSW tours. Check out www.vroom.musicnsw.com
