From little things, big things grow. And you better believe it. Indent’s first Big Event, held in Orange on the 16th of December was a great success.
The Big Day Out started in a barn known as the Hordern Pavilion and now look at where it is. Well, this is our idea for the Freshly Plucked team – start small, become big. The day was absolutely fantastic. Music aside there were rides, graff demos, spray tatts and showbags (eat your heart out, Easter Show).
Onstage the bands were livid. From the deep, saxy pop-funk-rock of the Paper Scissors to the fairy floss obstructing antics of Laura Imbruglia, a whole array of local and touring bands were represented. Locals Calisiris and Deprivation stormed the crowd with their central-west stylings. All the way from Western Australia, headliners Karnivool took the night by storm.
The organisation of the Freshly Plucked crew was praised by the bands, Arts NSW representatives and Indent reps alike. Well done guys. Lets hope Freshly Plucked 2007 is even better.
