Digital Marketing Seminar - MusicNSW

MusicOZ have announced they will be doing a series of Digital Marketing Seminars in Nowra, Wollongong and Sydney in August to help enhance the skills of independent artists. The seminars will develop effect online and music marketing strategies to raise awareness, build and maintain a fan base and create successful music living by targeting a global audience.

Some of the topics covered include: Writing an online promotion plan, developing online promotion and distribution strategies, effective web design, online tools and software, social networking, generating online publicity, internet radio, and online branding.

The seminar series is to be facilitated by Shane Murphy, a lecturer in music marketing at Griffith University and Southern Cross University. Shane is also the director of the Arts Marketing Institute, which provides specialist marketing training for the creative industries. Shane has worked for over 15 years in all aspects of the music industry and is currently working with Musicoz on its training programs for independent artists.

Shane Murphy seminar coordinator says “We have selected speakers from a very diverse background to reflect the different perspectives on how to get the best out of the online space. They are all briefed in trying to find practical suggestions and insights for indie artists so it should make for some interesting discussion on the night”

Shane Murphy – Music Industry Lecturer Griffith University / Marketing consultant /Musicoz Training Coordinator

The seminars will cost $55 or $45 for APRA members/students/concessions and is tax deductable for music businesses. They will be held on the Augst 17 in Nowra, 18 in Wollongong and 19 in Sydney.
