The Ivys are a Sydney based Indie Rock band (formerly Irksome Bliss) who caught our attention after a kickin’ performace at last years Come Together Festival. They recently toured the east coast with UK band Keane and their EP is now available for your listening pleasure.
1. What was the first band you saw live?
The first gig was Grinspoon at the Enmore ages ago.
2. What did you learn from them?
That we needed to buy electric guitars and play a lot louder!
3. Got any pre-gig rituals?
Not really. Tune the guitars and the odd huddle to get everyone psyched up for the show.
4. What do yout think the most important issue effecting artists in NSW is today?
The move to more electronic music is changing the music scene and leaving some artists behind.
5. If you weren’t a musician what do you reckon you’d be doing?
If it couldnt be anything to do with music then it would definitely be something in the creative arts like graphic design, architecture, etc
