Each year, just prior to the SXSW Music Conference, Austrade’s Australian Music Office holds an informal meeting of people heading to SXSW in Austin, Texas.
If you are not going to SXSW this year but want to learn more about it, you are also welcome to come along.
Meet fellow artists and industry, hear practical tips on doing business at SXSW as well as how to survive one of the biggest events in the world. We will be linking up live via video conference to Peter Coehen in the Australian Music Office Los Angeles. Peter will introduce the following guest speakers to discuss their approach to SXSW
- Kevin Carvel – A&R Rep, A&M/Octone Records (Maroon 5, Flyleaf, Hollywood undead)
- Todd Cooper – Music Attorney, Greenburg, Traurig, LLP (Incubus, Katy Perry, LMFAO)
- Other guests include Inmedia’s (SXSW Australian rep) Jessica Kalucy, and the AMO’s own Ms Tomoko Ichikawa live from Austrade Tokyo
