Danyell & Nicole bring excitement, creativity and immense talent to the Australian music industry. From being inspired by the world’s most successful artists, Danyell & Nicole continue to encourage Australia’s pop/urban music culture to expand to the rest of the world.
What was the first band you saw live?
The first ever big concert we both went to was Black Eyed Peas at Acer Arena. It was HUGE we loved every minute of it!
What’d you learn from them?
We learnt that to be entertaining, you need to have a lot of energy! Live music is about being inspired and left with amazing memories that you will never forget. Black Eyed Peas have surely mastered this.
Got any pre-gig rituals?
We both LOVE the dairy so we make sure a week before we cut that from our diet, drink plenty of water at room temperature, and have our ‘silent time’ where we both don’t speak for an hour to reserve our voices.. but of course we do our vocal warm ups!
What do you think the most important issue facing artists in NSW is?
The music industry in Australia itself is rather small, which makes it hard for us to get our name out there. Therefore, there’s very few that can make it a career, but our motto in life is ‘You Only Live Once’ and will try the best for the world to hear our music..
If you weren’t a musician, what do you reckon you’d be doing?
Danyell: Not working in a full time office job that’s for sure! Maybe working for a magazine company helping out with photoshoots.. I’d love that. I would also love to travel the world. There are so many places to see to like the Greek Islands!
Nicole: Hmm flight attendant…. as I’d love to travel the world!
