Lowkey Workshop and networking session
This is an open invitation for Indigenous artists to attend a one off workshop with Lowkey, one of Britain’s most influential Hip Hop artists. Lowkey will take time out of his tour schedule to meet with emerging artists and share his wealth of knowledge and experience with the local community.
The workshop will cover topics including how to build profile and maintain profile in underground hip hop, the hustle, keeping it real – spitting socially conscious rhymes, staying true to your roots whilst staying relevant to the hip hop community.
Lowkey will discuss how collaborations have helped break into the hip hop scene nationally in Britain as well as internationally in Europe and the States. The workshop will be opened up to facilitate questions from participants and allow for general discussion around the local hip hop scene.
The workshop will be followed up with a networking session (refreshments included) where participants and Lowkey will have the opportunity to meet and network.
The Workshops are presented by Whichway – a project of MusicNSW, 1 Front Productions and Gadigal Music.
The workshop will be held at Gadigal Information Service, Level 3- 27 Cope St, Redfern, Friday 28/01/11, 1pm – 4pm
