Beats n Roots Hip Hop Summit 2012 - MusicNSW

The Beats n Roots Hip Hop Summit 2012 is a three day youth summit between April 26-29th exploring youth arts and leadership as part of National Youth Week. The summit aims to create and promote pathways for young people to engage with the hip hop culture through both performance and creative arts. The summit aims to explore issues surrounding youth arts and leadership, using hip hop as a platform to start up discussion. The summit is driven by the needs of young people within the Northen Rivers Region.

Thurs 26th- Fri 27th keynote presentations, master classes workshops and performances to be held at Multitask in Lismore.

Fri 27th 6:30pm SHOWCASE NIGHT – Lismore City Hall – Tix $10 if you are not a conference attendee

Sat 28th – checkout the program for Crankfest Xtreme where some of our artists will be appearing.

Sun 29th – 11am-2pm Special screening of Morganics Documentary with Q&A followed by a Hip Hop Community Worker Master class and artsworker round table forum in Byron Bay at the Byron YAC

Sub 29th 2pm-5pm-Beats in the Bay Music Gig – featuring some of the best artists from the Beats n Roots program at the Byron YAC
