In Hearts Wake to headline 2014 Indent Tour - MusicNSW

Off the back of the success of last year’s Indent Tour featuring hip-hop trio Spit Syndicate, our youth project Indent is excited to announce that ARIA-charting hardcore quintet In Hearts Wake will be headlining Indent’s regional drug and alcohol free all-ages tour in 2014 – the only tour of it’s kind in Australia. This year the Indent Tour will be hitting Nambucca Heads, GraftonCessnock, Yass and Kiama from 21st November – 30th November.

Forming in sunny Byron Bay in 2006, In Hearts Wake came together in their teenage years, bursting onto the scene with their genre-shaking debut EP Into The Storm. After touring relentlessly, the band signed to Australia’s biggest hardcore record label Unified (UNFD), releasing highly acclaimed LP ‘Divination’ and solidifying their place in the hardcore/metal scene. Inspired by the natural elements of planet Earth, their latest ARIA-charting album Earthwalker is a sterling example of the band’s commitment to environmentalism, whilst also celebrating their unique blend of hardcore heaviness and poised melodies.

Having played live for over 8 years now, In Hearts Wake are no strangers to the touring circuit. They’ll be embarking on the ‘Rise of Brotality’ tour, before getting ready to jump on the road with the Indent team to play five all-ages, drug and alcohol free live shows in regional areas across NSW.

Now in it’s fifth year, the annual Indent Tour acts as a skills development opportunity for young people in regional NSW. Indent works directly with teams of young people aged 12-25 in each region to stage each show of the tour. The tour is funded and facilitated by Indent, with young people actively involved in the event planning process from August 2014 onwards. The teams will walk away with practical and transferable skills in event management, music business and live performance through working alongside leading industry professionals.
