Nominees for Unearthed Artist of the Year announced
Five emerging Australian acts have been nominated for the 2011 J Award for Unearthed Artist of the Year. The award will be presented on November 30 at triple j’s J Award ceremony alongside awards for other categories such as Australian Album Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year.

Two Sydney acts have been scooped up by overseas labels within the same week, with indie four piece The Jezabels being signed to Mum + Pop (home to Sleigh Bells, Alexisonfire, Tokyo Police Club and The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart) in the US and Dine Alone Records in Canada.
