FBi SMACS: A Festival of Sydney Music and Arts Culture

FBi Radio have announced that along with their annual SMAC awards ceremony next year, they will be launching FBi SMACS: A Festival of Sydney Music and Arts Culture, taking over Carriageworks on January 10, 2016. The day-long festival is to be held in association with the Sydney Festival as well as Carriageworks.

2015 J Award Nominees

National radio station triple j have revealed the 2015 nominees for the annual J Awards, celebrating the best in Australian musical talent. The winners will be revealed at the J Awards ceremony and broadcast live on triple j from 4.30pm AEST on Thursday 19 November. Best of luck to all the nominees! J Awards 2015

Campbelltown now has it’s very own School of Rock!

Campbelltown has a new school of rock! Campbelltown Arts Centre resident artist and local percussionist Bree van Reyk has launched her own school of rock across various high schools in Campbelltown, teaching high school girls how to rock and roll and encouraging them to pursue their passion for making music.

New additions to Australian Music Week

More speakers have been announced for Australian Music Week, which is coming to Cronulla November 18-22! This inaugural festival, music industry conference, and artist showcase event will feature panels, masterclasses and networking sessions lead by some of the most successful and influential people in the business.

2016 Australia Council Awards

The Australia Council for the Arts is calling for nominations to recognise the outstanding achievements made by individuals to the arts across 7 art forms at the 2016 Australia Council Awards. NOMINEES 2015 SCREEN MUSIC AWARDS 

In celebration of the excellence and innovation demonstrated by Australian composers this past year, the Annual Screen Music Awards have released their list of nominees. Presented by APRA AMCOS and the AGSC, the awards celebrate achievements in music composition for documentaries, short films, children’s television, advertising, film and television soundtrack albums, as well as feature films.

ARIA Award nominees revealed!

The annual 2015 ARIA Awards nominees have been announced, celebrating this year’s achievements in Australian music. Congratulations to all the NSW-based musicians doing us proud.  The ARIA Award ceremony will be held on November 26, 2015.
