Are you an artist or band based in regional NSW that has a good local following or has a small tour under your belt and wants to grow?
We want to help you get on the road! MusicNSW is looking for original artists from across regional NSW that are keen to tour, connect with other regional artists, play new venues and grow their audience.
15 artists will develop sister city touring networks and be part of five regional tours in 2023.
We'll guide you through best practices around planning, booking and promoting tours and help you get on the road with in-kind support for things like accommodation, travel, production and marketing.
WHO CAN APPLY
This opportunity is for original artists (can be solo, duo or band) who are based in regional NSW and don't have a booking agent. For the purposes of this EOI, regional NSW includes all local government areas outside of Sydney, Western Sydney, Newcastle LGA and Wollongong LGA or regional cities with a population less than 100,000. If your band includes members that do not live in the same town, at least 50% of the band members must reside in regional NSW.

Do I have to live in regional NSW?

One of my bandmates lives in Sydney, can I still apply?

I play in a cover band, can I still apply?
No. This opportunity is for original artists with a live set of at least 40 minutes.
What genre of music are you looking for?
Artists from any genre are welcome to apply.
I work under a booking agent, can I still apply?
No, this opportunity is for artists who do not have a booking agent.
How many gigs will I get to play?
Each artist selected for a tour will play 3 gigs.
I am a solo artist, can I still apply?
Yes, MusicNSW welcomes applications from solo artists, duos, trios, and bands any number of members.
I have more than 1 band, can I apply more than once?
Yes. We are accepting one application per act/band. You’ll need to complete a separate application for each act/ band.
What kind of support will MusicNSW provide?
Each tour will differ depending on acts, locations, and distance. To help you get on the road, MusicNSW will provide in-kind support based on case-by-case scenarios for accommodation, travel, production, and marketing. We'll also guide you through best practices around planning, booking, and promoting tours.
How will EOIs be assessed?
Applications will be assessed by MusicNSW. Although we stop accepting EOIs at 11:59pm (AEST) on 6th August 2023, we will be assessing applications as they come in so we suggest submitting as soon as you can.
