A great show doesn’t need a traditional venue. It needs a vision, a plan, and the confidence to make it happen.
This practical workshop is built for artists and organisations who want to take their events beyond the usual spaces - into halls, shopfronts, warehouses, boxing gyms - wherever the right room presents itself. Led by Harrison Hall (Holy Pav), you’ll work through the real process of turning a non-traditional space into a live music experience: scouting and assessing locations, working with owners, managing logistics, and creating the kind of atmosphere and audience experience that makes a show feel special.
You won’t just leave with ideas, you’ll leave with a concrete concept, a practical plan to deliver your own event - and confidence to make it happen on your own terms.
You will get the most out of this workshop if you are an independent artist, DIY promoter or community organiser who wants to create live music experiences outside of traditional venues settings.
Spots are limited – please tell us a bit about yourself, your experience in putting on live shows and what you're hoping to get out of the day. Applications close Monday, 6 July 2026.
