triple j’s One Night Stand is getting ready to head to Griffith (Wiradjuri) in just under three weeks, and ahead of the one-night wonder, we’re thrilled to announce Tapped In (fka More Than A One Night Stand Sessions).

Presented by MusicNSW, Tapped In offers regional NSW a chance to learn, meet, and hear from some of the brightest minds in Australian music.

Kicking off Saturday, 5 September at 10:30am (ahead of One Night Stand) at Griffith Regional Sports Centre, the free curated sessions will feature two In-Conversation sessions: the first with acclaimed performer Genesis Owusu and triple j Mornings host Lucy Smith, followed by MAY-A in conversation with triple j's Manager, Music Programming, Nick Findlay. There’ll also be a touring masterclass with Beddy Rays and their booking agent Callum Grady (Cult Artists), plus networking opportunities with MusicNSW and Music Australia.

We join Genesis alongside triple j Mornings host Lucy Smith for an inspiring conversation exploring the creative journey behind one of Australian music's most distinctive voices.

This conversation will unpack how Genesis has carved out a singular artistic identity, blending genres, storytelling, performance and visual world-building into a body of work that continues to push creative boundaries. The conversation will unpack the experiences, relationships and creative decisions that have shaped MAY-A’s career so far, from winning the triple j Hottest 100 to releasing her debut album and finding her voice as an artist.

MAY-A will reflect on what life looks like after breakthrough moments: the people who have played an important role in MAY-A’s journey, the value of writing music with people you love, and how surrounding yourself with the right creative community can shape both the music you make and the person you become.

For emerging artists, it’s an opportunity to hear how a career can unfold in unexpected ways, and how staying curious, connected, and creatively open can help you find your own path.

Tour a Million Times — Discussion with Beddy Rays and booking agent Callum Grady (Cult Artists)

In-conversation with Beddy Rays and Callum Grady (Cult Artists) and facilitated by Music NSW, exploring the realities of building a touring career from the ground up. They will unpack how thinking outside the traditional touring model, like playing house shows and backyard gigs to intimate acoustic performances, helped build genuine audiences, strengthen their community, and create momentum long before larger venues came calling.

Drawing on both the artist and booking agent perspective, this session will examine the value of taking opportunities into your own hands, touring with your mates, and creating unforgettable live experiences wherever people are willing to listen. Emerging artists will gain practical insights into developing sustainable touring strategies, building lasting fan connections, and understanding why getting out on the road remains one of the most powerful tools for growing a career.
