To round out the year, the MusicNSW First Nations Social Club will bring together First Nations artists, music workers and community for a special sunset listening party, presented in partnership with Gadigal Information Service and Koori Radio.
Taking place on the iconic Koori Radio rooftop, the event will celebrate some of the exciting new music being created by emerging and early-career First Nations artists, providing a relaxed space to share music, stories and connect with community.
We’re inviting First Nations artists to submit their original music, with 5-6 emerging/early-career artists being selected to have one of their songs played in full during a special listening session. Artists will have the opportunity to introduce their music, share the stories and inspiration behind their songs, and give audiences a glimpse into their creative process. Outside the formal listening session, additional submitted tracks will feature throughout the event on the evening’s playlist.
With music, food, good company and the sun setting over Gadigal Country, this Social Club is all about celebrating First Nations creativity, discovering new sounds and creating meaningful connections within our music community.
Whether you’re an artist, music worker or simply love discovering new First Nations music, come along, have a feed, meet some new faces and enjoy an evening of great music.
While the focus of this event is to celebrate and bring together First Nations artists, industry folks and community, the event is also open to non-Indigenous allies who would like to join us.
