Introduction

With new changes to Payday Super, it can be challenging to understand your obligations as an artist, a sole trader, an employer or a music business owner.

This resource explains the changes to Payday Super in full, touching on employer obligations, payment deadlines, compliance requirements and answers to common questions. There’s no need to fret over the complexity of superannuation – we’ve designed an FAQ-styled factsheet to make sure the updates are easy to understand and that the information is entirely comprehensible.

If you’d like to grasp super payments through a more visual lens, you’ll find an additional resource flowchart detailing whether you need to pay Super or not as an employer, which takes into account age, tax circumstances and employment status.

The flowchart also features other relevant tips and tricks when considering Super payments, including upfront fee negotiations, payrun timings and more.
