Across one epic weekend, Northern Rivers very own THIRST TRAP, MOPOKE & SERENA ROSE take over Bellingen, Townsend & Bangalow with a potent blend of electronic, psychedelia and alternative, indie-rock.

About MusicNSW Regional Tours
MusicNSW is working across the state to increase contemporary music touring, expand artists and industry networks, and build on existing industry knowledge in regional NSW. Each year MusicNSW supports five tours across regional NSW to help artists and bands build touring skills and experience. Selected artists participate in tours stopping at music venues across the state. Original artists based in regional NSW were invited to apply for the regional touring opportunity.
Over the past few months, five exciting regional promoters have been working alongside the MusicNSW regional team to develop, plan and deliver this year's Regional Tours. Through hands-on mentoring and industry masterclasses led by the team at Yours & Owls, they have built skills in tour planning, budgeting, programming and curation, marketing, and PR. The Takeover Tour was curated by emerging promoter Sophie Ryder (Flaming Heart Records). More information can be found here.
Our Regional Tours are supported by Create NSW and Sound NSW and are delivered in partnership with The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) as part of Community Hubs. Community Hubs is a partnership program to build capacity for regional NSW community radio stations to engage with live music, develop sustainable partnerships with local music industry, and participate in touring programs. The initiative will support 10 stations across 5 regions through workshops, networking sessions, and hands-on experience with MusicNSW's Regional Touring Program.

Mopoke
Mopoke is a live electronic act from northern NSW. Their sound has been described as a potent and distinctive blend of post punk and synth pop influences. Raw and gritty elements are counterbalanced with ethereal vocal performances and dreamy production qualities.
Serena Rose
Serena Rose blends psychedelia, rock, and ambient influenced alternative music into a deeply emotive and cinematic sound. Drawing inspiration from psychedelic music, film scores, and classical composition, her work is guided by atmosphere and feeling rather than traditional storytelling. Serena’s music moves through hypnotic arrangements, evocative guitar textures and an ethereal vocal presence that creates an intimate and reflective listening space.
Thirst Trap
Thirst Trap are an alternative indie rock band blending 90s inspired alternative and indie rock with reggae and ska influences. Since forming, Thirst Trap have sold out multiple hometown shows, performed at SXSW Sydney and festivals across Australia including Airlie Beach Festival of Music, Crafted Beer Festival and Nimbin Roots Festival. Their debut EP, ‘Your Eyes Only’ arrives in July, exploring themes of connection, heartbreak, self-discovery and growing up.
