Pressure Makes Diamonds

Ever walked into a professional studio and wondered what everyone's actually doing or how to make the most of the time you're paying for? This workshop pulls back the curtain, opening up the opportunity to understand the studio space more and level up your home recording setup.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join us at Woodriver Studios, with studio engineer Joe Andersons and audio engineer Lochlan Morgan as they record a live track with Newy artist Ella Day - learning how a real session comes together from the people running it.

In this one-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll cover things like:

  • How to make the most of your studio time
  • Applying studio practices to your home setup
  • The language used in-studio and what it actually means for your recordings
  • Audio fundamentals that’ll help the way you record & create
  • The quirks & challenges that come with live recording

Afterwards, stick around for Woodriver's open day – enjoy some light catering and meet & connect with others in the Newcastle music scene.
