Alister Wright is an Australian musician, songwriter, recording engineer and educator, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of Cloud Control. The band's debut album Bliss Release won the Australian Music Prize in 2011 and received multiple ARIA Music Awards nominations, establishing them as a key voice in Australian alternative music. Across the 2010s, Cloud Control toured internationally alongside artists including Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend and Weezer, releasing three studio albums and building a reputation for their distinctive, collaborative sound. Alongside his artist career, Wright works as a recording engineer and teacher, helping artists capture authentic performances and develop confidence in their recording and creative process.
