New Wave is back with a series of events that taps into DIY performing & touring – built to give artists across NSW the practical tools and real-world insights they need to grow.

New Wave features in-person and digital workshops, events and development programs all over the state, built for artists finding their footing and the people working behind the scenes to make things happen across local music scenes in NSW.

Taking place across July and August, this round of New Wave events features some of the best industry and community leaders in the state sharing their skills and insights across performing & touring.

• No Venue, No Problem | Port Kembla | 31 July | Featuring Harrison Hall (Holy Pav) on creating live gigs in non-traditional spaces

• Can’t Gig There, Mate | Newcastle | 1 August | Featuring Clyde St Arts' Kat Skoumbas, and promoters Django Mallon, Moe Matthew & Zoey Simpson on turning left-field event ideas into reality

In Western Sydney, youth music industry program Outset is under way. If you’re 15-25, based in Western Sydney and want to put on your own gigs, apply to be part of the Outset Youth Committee now.
